2024 Thomas Hardjono talk
Thomas Hardjono returned to Australia after nearly 20 years. His group at MIT has an on-going project with the Gov of South Australia and some the universities there. His trip was in the context of this project.
2023 Yum Cha
A small group of us gathered at East Ocean for yumcha. East Ocean would have been one of the restaurants that existed when we were studyingn at Sydney University and some of us would have had yumcha there so this is yet another trip down memory lane.

We had our 35th graduation anniversary reunion on 25 May 2022 4pm. University of Sydney graciously booked two rooms for us (with the help of John McQueen who unfortunately couldn’t attend).

Pictures from our graduation in 1988. This is taken at the lawn outside the main building of the University of Sydney.
Photos from Hugh
Various photos from Hugh’s archive.
Common Room
The honours common room was used by us as a place to study, log on to the computer, chat, and relax. Some of us practically lived here, sleeping on sleeping beds.
Yum Cha
A yum cha session at Chinatown featuring members of the honours students plus staff.
Madsen
These photos are taken outside the Madsen building. It was towards the end of the year, and I think we were all realising we would hopefully be graduating soon, so we took these photos.
Badminton Court
The basement of the Madsen building contained a room (intended as a bomb shelter) large enough for a makeshift badminton court.

Wentworth Building Food Court
The Wentworth Building houses the Student Union, and there was a food court that we frequented for meals.

Hacking a safer world for computers
Computer hackers are not always immoral, as a team of computer whizz kids at Sydney University is proving. Their hacker skills are helping to develop a system which may prevent computer fraud or misuse.
